Black Mental Health & Wellness
We provide affirming care that acknowledges the impact of culture, community, systemic stressors, and lived experience while honoring the resilience and strengths that exist within Black communities.
Body Image & Self-Esteem
Together, we explore the beliefs, experiences, and societal messages that shape how you view yourself. Therapy can support the development of greater self-compassion, confidence, and embodiment.
Trauma & Healing
Whether trauma stems from childhood experiences, relationships, community violence, discrimination, or significant life events, therapy can provide a space to process, heal, and move forward with greater clarity and agency.
Life Transitions & Identity Development
Major life changes often invite important questions about purpose, identity, relationships, and direction. Therapy can support you in navigating uncertainty while remaining connected to your values.
Burnout & Boundary Setting
Many high-achieving individuals find themselves exhausted by the pressure to constantly perform. We help clients identify patterns of overextension, strengthen boundaries, and cultivate more sustainable ways of living and working.
Therapeutic Approaches
-
Our experiences shape the narratives we tell about ourselves, but those stories do not have to define what is possible for us. Narrative therapy helps you explore the beliefs, experiences, relationships, and cultural messages that have shaped your understanding of yourself and the world around you.
Together, we work to separate you from the problems you are experiencing, recognize strengths that may have been overlooked, and develop a fuller story that reflects your values, identity, and hopes for your life. Our experiences shape the stories we tell about ourselves, but those stories do not have to define what is possible for us. Narrative therapy helps you explore the beliefs, experiences, relationships, and cultural messages that have shaped your understanding of yourself.
-
Healing does not happen in isolation. Our relationships, communities, identities, and cultural experiences influence how we understand ourselves and connect with others.
Relational-Cultural Therapy explores these experiences within a collaborative therapeutic relationship. We pay attention to patterns of connection and disconnection while creating space for authenticity, mutual respect, and a deeper understanding of how your relationships have shaped you.
-
Trauma can influence how we experience ourselves, our relationships, our bodies, and the world around us. Trauma-informed therapy recognizes these effects without reducing you to what has happened to you.
We prioritize emotional safety, choice, collaboration, and respect for your pace. Therapy may involve understanding trauma responses, developing tools for regulation, rebuilding trust in yourself, and creating new ways of responding to experiences that once required survival.
-
Our earliest and most significant relationships can shape how we experience closeness, trust, vulnerability, conflict, and emotional safety.
Attachment-based therapy helps you recognize these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. Together, we explore how past and present relationships influence your needs and responses, while working toward greater security, healthier connection, and more intentional relationships.
-
Your culture and identity are not separate from your mental health. They influence how you experience relationships, family, community, work, belonging, expectations, and even the meaning you make of healing.
Culturally responsive therapy creates space to explore these experiences without requiring you to minimize, translate, or defend important parts of yourself. We consider culture, race, identity, relationships, community, and broader systems as meaningful parts of understanding your experience and supporting your growth.
